Brooksby Melton College
BMC is Brooksby Melton College, a specialist independent college based in the heart of Leicestershire. We specialise in land-based courses such as animal care and agriculture but also are a leading performing arts college with an excellent national profile. We also offer an extensive vocational curriculum including, business and hair & beauty.
With our career focused courses you will gain a competitive advantage with a blend of industry relevant skills and knowledge along with work experience with some of our leading partners and providers.
Here are three reasons why you should choose BMC:
With a 97% achievement rate across all courses, BMC comes top of all specialist colleges in the country with an offering of a similar nature.
Regarding ‘long’ courses, BMC ranks fourth nationally (out of 27 other specialist colleges) with a 96.6% achievement rate. This is something that the college is very proud of and highlights the quality of the provision, the teaching and the facilities on offer at BMC.
Some of our courses in animal care boast a 100% success rate (2012-13) and we have also seen an exceptional level of performance in our business management courses which has seen 13 students achieving a merit* grade (2013-14).
BMC is currently benefiting from a £27.7 million investment in brand new and renovated facilities across both sites. This will ensure that the quality of the facilities reflects the quality of the teaching and learning experience.
The Melton campus will see improved facilities for performing arts, media, childcare and students with learning difficulties and disabilities, with new social spaces and catering facilities and much more including large hair and beauty salons.
The Brooksby campus will see an extension of the state-of-the-art animal care centre and equine yards as well as new student accommodation and new multi-purpose sports hall and all weather 3G pitch.
