Ashton-Under-Lyne Sixth Form College

Ashton Sixth Form College has been providing quality education to school leavers for many years and continues to grow and develop to meet the demands of local 16 to 19 year olds.

The College is a major provider of the highest quality academic and vocational education in the area. A recent report found that much stronger progress is made by students studying within a sixth form college than in any other post-16 environment and this is certainly reflected in the results achieved by students at Ashton Sixth Form College.

The college currently has 2000 students on a range of courses including A-Levels, Level 3 Extended Diplomas and Level 2 Diplomas and we boast some of the best results  in the area.

The College also caters for around 1000 part-time adult students per year on courses from Level 1 to Higher Education. Part-time courses for adults are run on site from late afternoon or in the evenings or at community venues and out at employer premises during the day.

The college community includes over 200 dedicated staff who are focused on ensuring that all our students have every opportunity to learn, enjoy and achieve at college and ultimately progress successfully to higher education, employment or training.

The college’s value-added score ranks us in the top 25% of schools and colleges against the national benchmark. This indicates outstanding value-added performance in our institution relative to the benchmark.
